Decades before the birth of Atlanta’s Ponce City Market, a shining example of adaptive reuse along the BeltLine, the 2.1-million-square-foot brick behemoth was a distribution and retail center for Sears and later served as Atlanta’s City Hall East. In 2010, the grand old building fell into vacancy. Thanks to developer Jamestown and the area’s designation as an Opportunity Zone, Ponce City Market is now one of the hottest properties in town.
